Professor of Political Science

George brings a social science perspective to a range of topics including federal courts, legal education, and contract law. She has published numerous studies of Article III courts and judges in which she examines how institutional design influences actions and outcomes. She is a recognized expert on the study of legal education, and currently serves on the Editorial Board of the Journal of Legal Education and the LSAC Grants Subcommittee.

Professor Michael BressmanMichael Bressman , professor of the practice of law, teaches the Intellectual Property and the Arts Clinic, Contracts, Law of Cyberspace, and Art Law. He also directs the law school's clerkship program. Edward Cheng , Professor Edward Cheng Tarkington Chair in Teaching Excellence, focuses on scientific and expert evidence, and the interaction between law and statistics.
Professor Paul Edelman Paul Edelman , Professor of Mathematics and Law, studies judicial decision making and public choice. He teaches Introduction to Law and Economics. Professor Brian Fitzpatrick Brian Fitzpatrick, Professor of Law, focuses on class-action litigation, federal courts and judicial selection.
Dean Chris Guthrie Chris Guthrie, Dean and John Wade-Kent Syverud Professor of Law, is a leading expert on behavioral law and economics, dispute resolution, negotiation and judicial decision making. Professor Alex Hurder Alex Hurder teaches the Civil Practice Clinic, in which he and his students represent clients in special
education cases and Social Security disability appeals.
Associate Dean Sue Kay Susan Kay, Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs, is an expert on criminal procedure and evidence, teaches the Criminal Practice Clinic. Professor Nancy KingNancy King , Lee S. and Charles A. Speir Professor of Law, is an expert in the the areas of habeas corpus, trials, sentencing, appeals and plea bargaining.
Professor Terry MaroneyTerry Maroney , Professor of Law and Professor of Medicine, Health and Society, focuses on juvenile justice, the relevance of adolescence brain science, and law and emotion. Timothy MeyerTimothy Meyer  focuses on international lawmaking and compliance, with an emphasis on international economic, environmental and energy law.
Professor Amanda Rose Amanda Rose focuses on complex corporate and securities litigation and the institutional design of enforcement regimes. She teaches Corporations and Business Entities and Securities Regulation. Professor Suzanna Sherry Suzanna Sherry's work in the area of constitutional law has earned her national recognition as one of the most well-known scholars in the field. She also writes extensively on federal courts and federal court procedures.
Professor Kevin Stack Kevin Stack writes on administrative law, regulation, separation of powers, presidential powers, European Union administrative law, and the theoretical foundations of public law. Professor Ingrid Wuerth Ingrid Wuerth studies international law in domestic courts and is currently working on several projects on jurisdiction and immunity in public international law.
